Find Bombadgys in Shrine Ruins
Choose Low Rank or High Rank Shrine Ruins and check areas 1 and 7 for Bombadgys. Small-monster appearances can vary, so check nearby areas or start another expedition if you cannot find them.
Defeat a Bombadgy and carve its body. Triggering its explosion or picking up an unrelated shiny item does not guarantee an Igniter.
Check the rank and item name

If you need Bombadgy Igniter, stay in Low or High Rank. Sunbreak’s Master Rank changes the relevant material to Bombadgy Activator.
If you only get Raw Meat
Carve rewards are random. Several attempts without an Igniter can happen. Check that the quest rank is correct, then continue carving rather than moving to Master Rank for a differently named material.
