Required quest
Complete the base game’s Hub 7★ Serpent Goddess of Thunder. Buying the expansion is not enough on its own, and the Village story ending does not meet this requirement.
You do not need to reach HR100 or finish every base-game quest to meet this campaign-entry requirement.
Begin the expansion
- Confirm that Sunbreak is owned for the platform and store version you are playing, and install the game update.
- Check your Hub quest record for completion of Serpent Goddess of Thunder.
- Return to the bridge entrance in Kamura Village and speak to Rondine.
- Follow the opening story sequence into Sunbreak.
If Rondine does not start the story
First check the Hub quest requirement, rather than your Village progress. Next, confirm that the expansion license and installed content match the copy of Rise you are actually launching.
The key distinction is Hub 7★, not a Village quest, HR100 or completion of all base-game content.
